BRIEF: Raise adoption for contact tracing apps

Background

There’s no one simple catch-all solution for a global pandemic. But as creatives we can try to solve tough targeted problems as part of a larger mitigation strategy.

This month you’ll be exploring how we might raise adoption of contact tracing apps for use now and for future pandemics.

Key Challenges

Three key issues you should consider with the current messaging around contact tracing apps

  1. Awareness → many people just don’t know that these exist

  2. Lack of clarity → people don’t understand how it works

  3. Fears around data privacy → people are scared and very often misinformed of the privacy implications

Framing the brief

The way you frame the brief and the solution is up to you. Whether you decide to create a local tiktok campaign to raise adoption among Gen Z in your borough of NYC or add a feature to incentivize the general population in India, we’ll be judging you on 3 factors:

  1. How well does you solution fit the target you chose

  2. Feasibility of your solution

  3. Creativity and depth of insights
